A regulation by the EFL, effective from September 2010, requires every club to declare publicly the identity of any individual who directly or indirectly owns a stake of ten per cent or more in that club.
Preston North End Football Club Limited confirms that 100 per cent of its shares are owned by Preston North End Limited, which in turn is 100 per cent owned by Deepdale PNE Holdings Limited. Deepdale PNE Holdings Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Grovemoor Limited which, in turn, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wordon Limited. Both Grovemoor Limited and Wordon Limited are incorporated in the Isle of Man. The ultimate beneficial owner of Wordon Limited was previously Mr Trevor Hemmings CVO.
Following the passing of Mr Hemmings on 11 October 2021, his estate was settled on 20 September 2023 and the shares in Wordon Limited have been transferred into the Conway Trust, a discretionary trust which is controlled by its trustees and its potential beneficiaries are various family members of Mr. Hemmings.
The directors of Preston North End Football Club Limited, Craig Hemmings (Chairman), Peter Ridsdale, Kevin Abbott, David Robinson and Zoe Hall, continue to be responsible for managing the football club.
